Important information:
- If you apply hardware changes to your system, it is advisable to
temporarily transfer the license to another system. Due to hardware
changes, the license will no longer work and must be re-activated.
- Important information regarding the transfer of a licence:
- Read the manual carefully before transferring the pCon.planner PRO license to a new computer. A common mistake is not following the steps in the correct order. The first step takes place on the new system.
- You must have access to both systems before proceeding any further with the license transfer!
- After transferring the license, you must also install the pCon.update DataClient on the new system to install the catalogs.
1 Activation of a license
To activate a license, open the Safenet License Manager. There are two different ways to open the Safenet License Manager.
In pCon.planner, go to Help/License.
Open Windows Start and select License Manager or after opening the Windows menu enter in the search bar the search term License manager.
Click on
the Activate button and enter the license key. The license will be unlocked.
The activated license can now be seen in the list of available licenses.
1.1 Error message (H004)
It is possible that after entering the license
key an error message appears. The license key has not been entered correctly.
Re-enter the code. Possibly manually without copy/paste. Make sure there is no
space between them.
2 License Transfer
If you want to transfer a license from one computer to another computer, for example after the purchase of a new computer, you can do this yourself via the Safenet License Manager via Transfer: Start license transfer wizard.
NOTE: It should be noted that at least one EasternGraphics program that uses the License Manager must already be installed on the new system before licenses can be transferred. It is also necessary for the source system still to be functioning. If you no longer have your old system, please contact your distributor.
New licenses (created since 04/11/2014) are transferable. Licenses that were created before that date can be updated and will afterwards be transferable, too. Please get in touch with our license department: licensing(at)easterngraphics.com.

With the Transfer Wizard you can step-by-step change the corresponding license from the old to the new system. Follow the steps below:
1. Save Information file (on the new system) of the pCon.planner Pro trial version.
2. Load Information File (on the old system), read file from recipient system.
3. Select license to transfer (on the old system here you can select the license file.
4. Create License (on the old system), create file to be sent to recipient system . For example, you can sent the file by email to the other system, or place it on the network.
5. Update License (on the new system) select and apply license file.
NOTE: the current license will no longer work on the (old) computer when this operation has been performed The license transfer is now complete and transferred from the old to the new system.
2.1 Updating your license failed. Cloned HASP SL secure storage detected.
It is possible that while transferring the license you
will see the above error message after placing the license file on the new
system at Update License. This means that you have selected the wrong license
file. To fix this, put the h2r file back on the old computer and do the license
transfer correctly.

4 Managing licenses
In the lower part of the Safenet License Manager are more options for managing your licenses.
- Update License button allows you to update your license when conditions have changed.
- Collect License Information allows you to create a file with your license data for our support department, for example.

button offers you extra license features such as delivering licenses and
managing of network licenses.
- Settings
button allows you to use a proxy when activating the license.
