Are you seeing an unexpected login prompt in pCon.basket when accessing Office 365? If so, please read on. With the release of version 2.15, the authentication mechanism for Microsoft Office 365 has been updated to utilise the latest API interfaces. This change involves an adjustment to the management of user sessions.
1. Session-based login: User login credentials are now only valid for the duration of a single application session. If you refresh the application page or the browser, the current session will end and you will need to log in again.
2. Switching accounts: To switch between different Microsoft 365 accounts, you must now either refresh the application completely or restart your browser. The previous method of switching accounts within the same session is no longer supported.
Please note:
Your Microsoft Office 365 administrator may need to re-authorise our application. This is necessary because the application ID has changed. This is therefore a one-off action that must be carried out by the Office 365 administrator within your own organisation for all individual pCon.basket users who request authorisation to work with Office 365 in pCon.basket!
Normally, the Office 365 administrator receives a request when the user requests access and is then sent a link to the app list, which they can click to grant access again. Attached to this article is a document (in English) containing an example of how to authorise an app in Office 365.
