An overview of the new features in pCon.facts 3.11.

1 Update availability check

A new functionality has been introduced to notify customers when a new version of the application is available. This ensures that users can benefit from newly implemented features, performance improvements, and bug fixes in a timely manner.

The update availability feature supports two types of updates: mandatory update and non-mandatory update.

1.1 Mandatory update

When a user is running an outdated version of the application, a full-screen “Update Required” dialog is displayed at application startup. This dialog includes an UPDATE NOW button that allows users to immediately download and install the latest version. Updating is required to proceed with using the application.

1.2 Non-mandatory update

When a newer version of the application is available but the update is not mandatory, users are notified within the application settings. In the Manage Profile section, an UPDATE AVAILABLE button is displayed, allowing users to update the application at their convenience.
