Registering EOM libs failed

In most cases, this error message appears due to a missing Microsoft Windows component (VC Redist). The setup of pCon.planner contains this component but in some cases, it is not installed automatically. You can install these files manually after the installation of pCon.planner.

The files can be downloaded here:

Note: pCon.planner x64 needs both files

Possible solution:

Microsoft recently released a Windows update that also affected the settings and behavior of the Smart App Control and Microsoft Defender Antivirus protection mechanisms (as well as others security mechanismen from Windows). Since then, corresponding messages and additional security checks have been appearing when launching and using our applications.

According to the current information available, this behavior is caused by Windows Smart App Control (SAC). When pCon.planner starts, SAC blocks one or more required DLL files that it has classified as dangerous. he current workaround to get around this is to disable Smart App Control for now (Windows Security → App & Browser Control → Smart App Control → Settings).

We are currently working on a general solution for this issue, as disabling Smart App Control should only be a temporary workaround, because disabling it will turn off the protection mechanism for the complete system. At this time, Smart App Control does not offer the option to selectively allow individual applications or DLL files.

What rights do I need to make modifications to the pCon.update DataClient?
