1 Licenses
You will find the named user license in your pCon.login account in the tab 'Licenses'.
In this example, a named user license is visible for 3 users. No users have been assigned to it yet.
2 Assignment of the license
To assign the pCon.planner PRO named user license to the desired users, follow these steps:
2.1 User groups
Check under User groups whether an existing user group for the users of this license exists. If this group does not exist, then you must create this group yourself.
In this example, there is not yet a user group for the pCon.planner PRO named user license. To add a new user group, click on the plus sign and you will be taken to the menu below.
In this example, a User Group "pCon.planner PRO" has been created.
2.2 Add users to a User's group
If necessary, add multiple users to the user group under 'Users'.
To assign users to the "pCon.planner PRO" user group, go to the User Overview. Select a user and click on the pencil icon. You can now select the pCon.planner PRO group.
In the example above, 1 user is assigned to the "pCon.planner PRO" user group.
2.3 Assigning license to user group
Finally, on the 'Licenses' menu, assign the new license to the user group by clicking on the pencil icon. In the License overview for pCon.planner, select the "pCon.planner PRO" user group.
3 Using the pCon.planner PRO named user license
After assigning your pCon.planner PRO named user license, start pCon.planner PRO. You will see the following screen saying there's no licence available. This is because the single user license has been deleted, the settings for the named user license in your pCon.login account are ok, but you still need to specify which license system (named user license) you want to work with when starting pCon.planner.
Click on OK, the following screen is now visible.
Click on 'Sign in with pCon.login', this case you will be logged in automatically. To avoid having to log in every time you start pCon.planner, please do the following: In pCon.planner go to the tab 'Help' and select 'Licensing'. Select 'Use pCon.login' here.
The next time you start pCon.planner PRO, you do not have to select a Licensing System, but will log in automatically.
4 No license available
You may receive the message below if you start pCon.planner PRO and you have selected 'Login with pCon.login' as described in the previous chapter.
It may be that you have not yet been added to the user group of the Named User license, or there are too many users in the user group. For example, there are 3 Named User licenses and there are 4 people in the user group. Please check the settings under the License tab in pCon.login.
After clicking 'OK', the menu below will appear. Click on 'Show profile' to open your pCon.login account and check the settings under the 'Licenses' tab.
5 The function has already been used lately and is currently not available for the given user/application (#518)
This message could be shown when you start pCon.planner. The message indicates the license has been transferred from one system to another too many times in a short period of time. This type of license transfer (when switching systems) is possible only once within two hours. If the systems are switched more often, the license automatically remains on the last system used. After two hours, it is possible again to use the license on another system.
Example: You start pCon.planner on system A and use the Named user license. After twenty minutes, you close pCon.planner and start system B. This is the first time switching systems. You use the Named user license for twenty minutes and you close the session again. You then go back to system A to start pCon.planner. This is the second time switching systems. You will then see the message because you are switching systems for the second time within two hours.
